About

Take my hand and let’s find that missing balance.

I am deeply passionate and invested in helping people heal and find themselves once again, or sometimes for the first time in their lives.

Self-understanding and healing can absolutely take place, and joy can be found and/or restored. It merely takes the courage and strength needed to begin and then remain committed to the process.

A rich and meaningful therapeutic experience

For many years, I have worked with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a myriad of challenges. My work began in family preservation working with people in their homes using the Family Teaching Model.

Upon beginning my clinical experience, I worked with adolescents in the foster care system and moved to acute care, residential treatment.

I have also worked in private practice serving individuals, couples, and families for several years to accumulate extensive experience in a lot of different arenas.

About Me

From business to mental health counseling…

I received my undergraduate degree in Business Administration and went on to manage and own my own businesses. I enjoyed the work and the freedom it offered me in different respects, but I had always wanted to help others more directly.

I struggled as a young person and always felt that if I could help others get through difficult times I would jump at the chance.

Additionally, I was the person that random strangers would tell their innermost secrets. It could be on a flight, at work, etc. I learned that I was a safe place for people to disclose and process through difficult experiences. They were always validated and treated with compassion, respect, and confidentiality.

I finally decided to go back to school and get my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have never looked back, because I am engaged in not only the work I love but my calling in life.

Life outside of work is varied and eventful.

Outside of work, you can find me spending time with family and friends, mountain biking, hiking, golfing, traveling, skiing, and enjoying the great outdoors in one form or another.

I love to learn, so reading is also something in which I often engage. I tend to be very diverse in my interests and love to try new things.

You will also find me enjoying the back porch with my husband and two dogs, when the weather permits.
